Adobe has been training models on only licensed media. I'm not sure if it's all their models or just some of them, and I haven't seen the results, but someone's doing it.
How ironic it would be for Adobe, the literal 500 ton dreadnaught of copyright, patent, and intellectual property ownership, to be sucking down training content from unlicensed sources. At least something is not entirely wrong in the world today.
