"In our study (Vaci et al., 2019), we tracked ninety chess players of differing skill levels for almost 20 years. They were of different ages, which allowed us to investigate not only the beginnings and peaks of chess skill, but also the later stages of the chess career."

I’d love to learn more about the Soviet Space programme. Short of asking my favorite LLM, are there any books / articles you’d recommend?

I can't remember the titles offhand unfortunately. Bear in mind that a lot of details didn't come out until the 1990s due to Soviet censorship. The BBC did a great documentary on Korolev about thirty years ago when some details came out.

Whatever one thinks of the Soviet political system, they did have some great achievements. Some of the ones that people forget include first probe and first automated rover on the Moon, first space station, first probe on Mars, first rover and picture from Mars (albeit scrambled), also first pictures from the surface of another planet (Venus)

NASA tried to claim recently it had the first sound from another planet (Mars) and airborne probe (helicopter). The Soviets had already transmitted audio from Venus in the 1980s and had a balloon there.

Thanks for the response. Lots of rabbit holes for my kids and I to explore. First up for this weekend is this -> "Cosmonauts: How Russia Won the Space Race" found here https://ihavenotv.com/cosmonauts-how-russia-won-the-space-ra....

So true. Kids and I are slowly working through the Gelfand correspondence course (math) and it's amazing.

Congratulations on your first internet dollar! So many people try and never make it as far as you have!

Off of the top of my head, a few things to think about as you start / continue this journey:

- find out how the original (only) customer found you and see who else is around - ask for a referral from the original customer - figure out what else you can sell to the original customer

Realistically, it depends on what you mean by "expand". Are you looking to build a venture-fundable business, something that grows into a job replacement for you, or something that helps pay for weekend activities?

Depending on what your aim is the "what do I do next" activities will be drastically different.

So what type of expansion are you looking to do?

How did you enjoy the process?

I did, thank you! It was hard and long, though. Much harder and longer than I expected it to be. The book ended up being very different from what I initially conceived (for the better, I hope.) I have too much to say to fit it all in one comment, to be honest :)

Great that you finished :)

Do you have a next book project lined up?

Thank you!

Not really. I am almost sure that eventually I'll do it, but what I have at this point is more like "dreams" or "ideas", very far from being materialized.

Also, I know that I want to write about something less practical and more fun. Maybe, making music. Writing about fun parts is so much easier

Hi - I'm the author. Happy to answer questions or discuss whatever you'd like :) Appreciate the kind words, and for reading the post/article/thing!

(author here). Agreed - definitely like how Math Academy does it. That said, my kids definitely _do not_ like earning negative XP. I tend to agree with my kids on that one :)

Just in case you haven't, you should look at the entire history of Superhuman (which just got bought by Grammarly this past week).

You can even start here -> https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&qu...

note: I didn't build the game, I used the title the person who submitted this game on /r/dataengineering did.
