ASML is a Dutch company.

I think the world would be better on the whole if such people returned home and improved their countries. The US cannot brain drain the entire world for its own benefit.

USB3.2 is almost twice as fast as SATA. If you want extra storage, get a USB-C or thunderbolt external drive.

If China doesn't want or need anything from the West, then why do they kvetch so loudly when the US implements trade barriers?

I mean if we're talking about generations that didn't have enough children to sustain organic domestic economic growth, then China is actually ahead of us there. Their birth rate plummeted below replacement well before the US's did.

I feel like rms just doesn't like human interaction generally. I've noticed that a lot of visionaries are that way.

I've worked with RMS a good bit over the past few decades, and, in my interactions with him, he has always come across kind, helpful, and professional.

I mean, is there really any reason to continue offering the service in Europe? I highly doubt the revenue is really worth the trouble.

It’s not for profit. Elon put 45 billion dollars into it as a vehicle to influence even more people of the world particularly politicians.

His open stance and clear support or rebuke of various political figures and parties around the world is a clear indication of this.

It’s an effective tool to influence less informed people. How else would they make Farage/Brexit/FN/VB/Orban/… things relevant in public discourse?

At this point, X is a propaganda tool for the radical right. I won't miss X in Europe if you decide to remove access to EU. Please, do it.

Mind you, 120M USD is peanuts for Musk. If it were me, I'd just fine X 1.000.000.000.000.000.000.000 USD just because I want to retaliate against Trump's silliness. If you wanna play hardball, expect it back. But, but... freedom of bullshit. You can keep that, we can perfectly use freedom of speech on solid platforms instead.

KF is being spammed with CSAM currently to the point where registrations are closed unless the admins are online to manually watch new user regs.

Seems to be the new tactic now.

KF being Kiwifarms the harassment site? Interesting, did it start happening after any particular event? Have the site admins posted about it publicly?

It's front page on the site currently.

How is it an issue for Archive.today? They immediately removed the content upon being notified about it. That's the "standard" level of responsibility for any site that hosts user-uploaded content.

Unless GP is suggesting the act of removal is what is worrying.

>Most, if not all VPNs require a proof of identity

I've never been asked for proof of identity by a VPN.
